Mom'S Green Tomato Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. green tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. salt
    12 c. chopped green apples
    2 c. raisins
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. chopped suet
    7 c. white sugar
    8 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. cloves
    3 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Grind the tomatoes; add salt and let stand overnight.
    Squeeze out as much of juice as you can with your hands.
    Add the other ingredients.
    Put all together in a roaster and bake slowly at 250\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours.
    Freeze or seal in jars.
    (You would never know this is made from green tomatoes.)
