Holiday Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. chopped nuts
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Cream the margarine;\tadd
    sugar.
    Add
    egg, vanilla and nuts.
    Add other dry
    ingredients
    alternately
    with
    milk.\tBake
    in
    a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Frost with butter
    and confectioners
    sugar
    frosting (make with canned, unsweetened milk).
    Place 1/2 nut meat on each piece of cake.
