Lemon Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
    1 2/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. Quaker oats (dry)
Preparation
    Cream together the butter or margarine and sugar.
    Add the egg, vanilla and lemon extract and beat well.
    Sift together the flour and salt.
    Add to the creamed mixture, adding the oats last.
    Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 7 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
    Remove while hot and cool thoroughly before stacking.
    Makes 6 dozen.
