Snickerdoodle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour*
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening and eggs together.
    Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
    Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon.
    Roll balls in mixture to coat.
    Place 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Remove immediately from cookie sheet.
    Yields 4 dozen.
