German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage, shredded
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 carrots, shredded
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Mix together first 5 ingredients.
    Then mix sugar, vinegar, turmeric and mustard.
    Bring to a boil (until sugar is dissolved) and pour over cabbage.
    Refrigerate overnight or several hours before serving.
    Will keep several days.
