Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 lb. tender pieces (fryer), cut in pieces
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 clove garlic, minced
    black pepper to taste
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 stalk celery
Preparation
    Place chicken in frying pan with olive oil, chopped parsley, celery, garlic, salt and pepper.
    Brown thoroughly on all sides over moderate flame.
    When chicken is well browned, add bay leaves and after 1 minute, add the wine.
    Cook gently until wine is almost evaporated.
    Add water.
    Cover and simmer about 30 minutes, until chicken is done.
