Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can chicken broth
    1 large sliced onion
    1 head broccoli
    1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook onion and broccoli in chicken broth until nearly tender. Heat margarine in pan.
    Add flour; add milk and stir with wire whip until it starts to thicken.
    Add broccoli and onion.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Do not boil; it will scorch the milk.
    Add 1/2 cup cut up cheese.
