Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. oil
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 egg whites, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Place raisins and water in pan and boil for 3 minutes.
Set aside to cool; do not drain.
Mix dry ingredients.
