Meat Boats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 hard long rolls
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. cream of tomato soup
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. ground beef
Preparation
    Cut slice from top of rolls.
    Hollow out center of each roll; reserve crumbs for meat mixture.
    Season softened butter with garlic salt and spread on rolls.
    Saute onion and green peppers in 1 tablespoon butter.
    Soften bread crumbs in soup and egg.
    Mix all together and fill rolls.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes. These can be frozen and cooked later.
