Cheesy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, diced
    1 med. onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 1/2 soup cans of milk
    Salt & pepper to taste
    1 cup grated American cheese
Preparation
    Boil potatoes and onions in a small amount of water until slightly tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer over very low heat, stirring often, until cheese melts and soup is heated thoroughly.
