Hot Toasted Mushroom Sandwiches - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. raw mushrooms, coarsely ground
1 small onion, chopped very finely
1/4 tsp. salt
dash of black pepper
butter
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. thick cream sauce
20 thin slices sandwich bread
melted butter
Preparation

Saute the mushrooms, onion, salt and pepper in butter until the mushrooms are cooked.
Add flour to thicken.
Lastly, add the cup of thick cream sauce.
Let cool.
Remove the bread crusts. Spread the paste on the thin slices of bread to make closed sandwiches.
Cut into triangles.
Brush tops with melted butter. Toast these on 1 side ahead of time.
Just before serving, toast on the buttered side.
Makes 40 small triangles.
