Bean Soup With Ham(This Is A Good Soup For A Cold Day.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. beans (Great Northern or navy)
    plenty of water
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. parsley flakes
    1 onion, chopped fine
    2 c. finely chopped ham
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a large kettle, boil ham, onion, seasonings and beans until tender (about 2 hours).
    Keep plenty of water in kettle.
    Mash with potato masher and serve hot.
    (This soup is good with cornbread.)
    Serves 8 to 10.
