Peach Cake Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium-sized peaches, peeled and thinly sliced
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. + 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place peaches in well-greased 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan.
    Sprinkle with lemon juice; cover with 2 tablespoons sugar. Cream together butter and remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
    Add egg and mix.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; mix with creamed mixture.
    Spread over fruit.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 45 minutes.
    Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Makes 8 to 9 servings.
