Boston Cream Pie - cooking recipe

1 c. cake flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
6 Tbsp. margarine/butter (3/4 stick), softened
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 large eggs
Preparation

Early in day:
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease one 9-inch round cake pan.
In large bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat first 8 ingredients just until mixed.
Increase speed to high; beat two minutes.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cool completely.
Prepare Creamy Custard Filling.
