Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. allspice
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. walnuts or pecans
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition until no egg is seen.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add jam, nuts and buttermilk.
    Bake in 3 oiled and floured pans or a 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until done.
