"Ergolavous" - Almond Logs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. almond extract
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
3 egg whites, slightly beaten
8 to 10 oz. slivered almonds
Preparation

Beat butter until creamy; add sugar gradually, mixing well. Beat in egg yolks; stir in almond extract and flour and mix well. Shape into 1-inch logs, using about 1 teaspoon dough for each log. Dip in slightly beaten egg whites; roll in slivered almonds. Place on cookie sheet; bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
Yield:
about 40 to 50 logs.
