Spanish Noodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef (ground turkey will do)
    about 1/2 to 1 c. water
    1 can tomatoes
    1 can tomato sauce
    about 7 oz. egg noodles (medium size)
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in skillet; drain.
    Layer on top the egg noodles (uncooked).
    Layer on top of egg noodles the tomatoes, spacing out evenly.
    Pour tomato sauce over all, slowly, being sure to wet egg noodles.
    Add to wet noodles sufficient water. However, do not add so much that the liquid level rises above the noodles.
    Cover; simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
