Wheat Germ Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. wheat germ
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. warm water
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, wheat germ and salt. Gradually stir in 1 1/4 cups flour, more or less, by hand; add enough to make a stiff batter.
    Cover and let rise until light and doubled.
    Stir down and place in a greased 2-quart casserole or loaf pan.
    Cover and let rise until doubled.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes until deep golden brown.
    Remove from pan and cool.
