Old Fashioned Pickled Wieners - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 lb.) pkg. wieners
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 1/2 oz. bottle pepper sauce
    1 tsp. pickling spices
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 c. ground cumin
    4 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Slice each wiener into 3 pieces.
    Combine with onion and set aside.
    Combine remaining ingredients in a pan.
    Bring this mixture to a boil and boil about 3 minutes.
    Pour over the wieners and onions.
    Put in jars and cover tightly.
    Refrigerate for several days before you serve them to let spices and pickling syrup penetrate.
    This makes a nice big batch and it will keep for several months in your refrigerator.
