Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Chill pie shell.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, syrup, salt, vanilla and chopped nuts.
    Pour into pie shell. Bake 40 to 45 minutes; garnish with whole nuts.
