Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo
    2 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. soda
    6 qt. (or more) popped corn
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. salted Spanish peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Using a large heavy iron skillet, melt oleo over medium heat. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil 5 minutes without stirring.
    Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.
    Pour syrup over popped corn and peanuts.
    Toss or stir (syrup will be sticky).
