Garlicky Beef With Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. boneless round steak, 1/2-inch thick
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 bell peppers, cut in 1/4-inch strips
    1/4 c. dry red wine
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. beef broth
    3 c. hot cooked noodles
Preparation
    Cut beef in 2-inch strips with the grain.
    Cut strips diagonally across grain into 1/4-inch slices.
    For ease in cutting, freeze 1 1/2 hours.
    Heat margarine in 10-inch skillet until melted.
    Add onion, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper.
    Cook and stir over medium-high heat until onion is tender.
    Stir in beef and bell peppers.
    Cook and stir about 4 minutes or until beef is no longer pink.
    Stir in wine.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir cornstarch into beef broth.
    Stir into beef mixture.
    Cook and stir until thickened.
    Serve over noodles.
