Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. salt
    3 heads fresh dill
    1/8 tsp. alum (for each jar)
    1 clove garlic (for each jar)
    small cucumbers (enough to fill 3 qt. jars)
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and pack into jars.
    Add one head of dill, alum and 1 clove garlic to each jar.
    Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil.
    Pour over cucumbers.
    Cover with canning lids and seal. Process for only 10 minutes.
    Let pickle for at least 2 weeks.
