Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 lb. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. flour, sifted
    chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add\tsugar
    and
    vanilla.
    Mix flour and add nuts.
    Roll dough into logs with waxed paper.
    Refrigerate. Slice dough;
    place on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
