Onion Soup - French Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small onions, cut in small pieces
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. water
    salt
    French bread
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan, melt margarine.
    Add cut up onions and brown, stirring constantly.
    Add flour; stir until flour is brown, also.
    Gradually add water until well blended.
    Let cook on low about 5 minutes.
    While soup is cooking, place thick slices of French bread in soup bowls.
    Top with grated cheese and pour soup over it.
