Beef Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. roast
    1 onion, cut
    potatoes
    carrots
    salt
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Wash the roast good under cool, running water.
    Place in a large deep Corning dish.
    Add onion for seasoning, garlic powder and other vegetables, as you prefer.
    Add about an inch of water to dish.
    Heat on a burner.
    Have oven hot, ready to cook roast, for about 1 1/2 hours.
    Put foil over the top of the roaster and place lid on.
    Place in hot oven; continue cooking until done.
