Boarding House Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1/2 tsp. Nature's Seasons salt or 1/2 tsp. onion salt
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. celery flakes
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 egg yolk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, the yeast, parsley flakes, celery flakes, thyme and basil.
    In saucepan, heat milk, sugar, oil and salts just until warm (115\u00b0 to 120\u00b0).
    Add to dry mixture in mixing bowl; add whole egg.
    Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping sides of bowl constantly.
    Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
    By hand, stir in enough flour to make a moderately soft dough.
    Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth, 5 to 8 minutes.
    Shape into a ball.
    Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease surface.
