Waldorf Astor Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add food coloring and eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add, alternating with buttermilk.
    Add vinegar and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour in a 13 x 9-inch pan or 2 (8-inch) round pans.
