Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. fresh strawberries
    7 c. sugar
    1/2 (6 oz.) bottle liquid fruit pectin
Preparation
    Wash berries; slice in half lengthwise or quarter large berries.
    Measure 4 cups.
    In kettle, combine berries and 4 cups sugar; let stand 15 minutes.
    Add remaining sugar.
    Bring to full, rolling boil.
    Boil hard, uncovered, 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in pectin.
    Skim off foam. Pour into hot, sterilized jars.
    Cover with wax.
