Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. baking soda
    5 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter.
    Add beaten eggs.
    In separate bowl, mix baking soda, flour and salt. Combine butter mixture with flour mixture. Add vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Chill in covered bowl for at least 2 hours or overnight. Roll out a portion of dough on lightly floured waxed paper to 1/8-inch. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown. Remove from cookie sheet at once.
