Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Add bananas.
    Beat 2 minutes. Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to cream mixture with buttermilk and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Stir in nuts and coconut. Turn into 2 (9-inch) round cake pans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Remove from pans and let cool on cake rack.
    Spread Creamy Nut Filling on layers.
