Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. sour cream or 1 small carton
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time.
    Add soda to sour cream. Add cream and flour to creamed mixture alternating.
    Add vanilla and lemon juice.
    Mix thoroughly. Bake in tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Do not open oven while baking.
    Ice with favorite icing or leave plain.
