Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. quick cooking oats
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In small bowl, combine flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    In large bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir in flour mixture, oats, chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet 3-inches apart.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
    Transfer to wire rack to cool.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
