German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 medium sized new potatoes (boiled in jackets)
10 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1 medium onion, diced
3/4 c. each: vinegar, sugar and water
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. celery seed
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Peel and slice potatoes.
Add bacon, celery seed, salt and pepper.
Set aside.
Saute onions in bacon drippings until clear. Add flour and mix well.
Add vinegar, sugar and water, stirring until mixture thickens slightly.
Pour over potatoes.
Stir well. Best if allowed to sit 1/2 hour.
