Ingredients

2 sticks butter (1 c., do not substitute margarine)
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. salad oil (Mazola is best)
1 c. uncooked Quaker oats
1 c. corn flakes, crushed
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter; add egg and sugars and mix well.
Add flour alternately with salad oil, then add rest of ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Dip fork in 1/2 cup water and press down on each cookie.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until browned.
Remember, make no substitutions or they will not turn out right.
