Toffee Nut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening or butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. moist, shredded coconut
    1 c. almonds, chopped
Preparation
    Mix the shortening or butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup sifted flour.
    Press and flatten with hand to cover bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch oblong pan.
    Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
