St. Gregory'S Abbey Altar Bread - cooking recipe

7/8 c. warm water
3 Tbsp. honey
1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 packet dry yeast
2 2/3 c. whole wheat flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Add yeast to warm water and mix until dissolved.
Measure honey into water.
Stir until dissolved. Measure olive oil into water.
Stir for a few seconds to break it up, but it won't emulsify much.
Stir in the salt.
Add unsifted flour and mix.
The dough will become somewhat stiff.
Add another tablespoon of warm water if needed.
Take a ball of raw dough and roll it out to 1/4-inch thick and 4 1/2-inches across.
Make about 5 mini loaves.
Place on oiled cookie sheet and let rise for 10 to 15 minutes on top of the oven.
Then bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
