Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion (medium)
    1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
    1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
    1/2 c. finely chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    1 bay leaf, crushed
    1 tsp. minced fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. salt
    scant 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 (7 oz.) pkg. frozen shrimp, thawed
Preparation
    Simmer ingredients (except shrimp) for about 30 minutes.
    Add shrimp and simmer another 5 to 7 minutes.
    Serve on fluffy white rice.
