Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    6 eggs, at room temperature
    3 c. cake flour
    1 c. heavy cream (not whipped)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each one.
    Add flour and cream alternately. Beat well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Grease a 10-inch tube pan.
    Place in a cold oven.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until tested done.
