Smothered Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 round steak, cut in small pieces
1 can water
1 can mushroom bits, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 onion, chopped
1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Roll steak pieces in flour.
Brown steak in skillet.
Combine all other ingredients.
Pour over browned steak.
Let simmer for 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
When steak is done, you also have your gravy for potatoes.
