Beef 'N Biscuit Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion or 2 Tbsp. instant onion
    1/4 c. diced green pepper or green chiles
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 tsp. chili powder
    3/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits
    1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. dairy sour cream
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion.
    Drain.
    Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt.
    Simmer while preparing dough.
    Separate dough into 10 biscuits, then pull those apart into 2 layers.
    Press 10 biscuits layering over bottom of ungreased 8 or 9-inch baking pan.
    Combine 1/2 cup cheese (saving rest for topping), sour cream and egg.
    Mix well.
    Remove meat from heat; stir in sour cream mixture; spoon over dough.
    Arrange remaining biscuit layers on top; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until the biscuits are deep golden brown.
    Makes 4 to 5 servings.
