Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. unsalted butter
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 large onion, sliced
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    2 cans beef consomme (undiluted)
    1/4 c. sherry (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter and add onion and mushrooms; saute 5 minutes. Stir in soups and sherry.
    Cook on medium heat until hot.
