Butterscotch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/3 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt margarine and shortening.
    Add sugars and mix well.
    Add egg; beat until light colored.
    Sift flour with soda; stir into egg mixture.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Chill.
    Roll in small balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove at once.
    Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
