Holiday Prune Butter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lightly packed pitted prunes
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. honey
    3 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 tsp. ground cardamom
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. melted margarine or butter
Preparation
    For prune butter, in a saucepan, combine prunes, lemon juice and 3/4 cup of water.
    Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer, covered, for 40 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in honey.
    Cool. Place in a food processor bowl.
    Process until smooth.
    Cover and cool.
