Tomato Soup Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift flour with baking powder, spices and soda.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with soup, mixing until smooth after each addition.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 10 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove and cool thoroughly on rack. Frost with cream cheese frosting or your favorite white frosting. Yields 16 servings.
