Old-Fashioned Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. each: ground cinnamon, cloves and ginger
    additional sugar
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream the margarine and sugar.
    Add egg and molasses; beat well.
    Sift together dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Chill the dough.
    Roll into 1 1/4-inch balls and dip into sugar.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until set and surface cracks.
    Cool on wire racks.
    Yield: about 4 dozen.
