Strawberry Meringue Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. graham cracker crumbs
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. melted margarine
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. whipping cream
3 c. whole berries
1 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine graham crackers, sugar, margarine and pecans; press into bottom of 10-inch spring-form pan.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
Cool.
Slice enough berries to make 2 cups.
Combine in large bowl with sugar, egg whites, lemon juice, vanilla and salt. Beat on low speed to blend, then high speed until firm peaks form, about 15 minutes.
Fold whipped cream into berry mixture.
Pour into cold baked crust.
Cover and freeze until very firm.
To serve, remove pan sides, arrange rest of berries on top or sides.
