Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. frozen strawberries (two 10 oz. pkg.)
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavor gelatin
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. solid shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Generously grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan.
Thoroughly combine completely thawed berries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside.
