Aunt Jennie'S Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten separately
    1/2 c. rich milk
    1 rounded tsp. cornstarch
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks slightly.
    Add to milk in a saucepan.
    Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt and dry mustard together and stir into egg-milk mixture and mix well.
    Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and fold in stiffly beaten (but not dry) egg whites.
    Add vinegar and melted butter or oleo. Blend thoroughly; cool.
