Caramel Cereal Pops(16 Pops) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
    1/4 c. milk
    4 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 c. salted peanuts
    shortening
Preparation
    Unwrap caramels and put in a saucepan.\tAdd milk.
    Melt on medium,
    until
    caramels
    are
    creamy,
    about
    15 minutes. Remove from heat.\tStir in cereal and peanuts.
    Stir until all cereal and
    peanuts
    are
    evenly coated with caramel mixture. Grease with
    shortening
    an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Spoon cereal into pan and press down evenly.
    Let mixture stand for 1
    hour or until firm.
    Cut into 2-inch squares, then insert a wooden stick on one end of each square.\tEnjoy!!
